Where Is Everybody?
Well, that's a bummer. I create the World's One Billionth Blog and nobody cared enough to join me in celebration. Still, I will keep my promise made yesterday. I will give you five drivers for the Nextel Cup race today at Atlanta. Remember, I'm not there, I am here (to the ladies at the Pink Pony: sorry, no extra cash pouring in from the Sunshine State this weekend. I'll try to double my efforts with my next visit).
Anyway, my Top Five Guys in today's race. Are you paying attention???
1. Jimmie Johnson (he's just too hot to ignore)
2. Greg Biffle (ready to win)
3. Bobby Labonte (how about a feel good story)
4. Ryan Newman (fastest driver in NASCAR today)
5. Kevin Harvick (this guy really needs some wins)
And a darkhorse pick: Joe Nemechek (nice guy, due for a good break)
Just to pat myself on the back, I picked Toyota to win the Atlanta Truck race and guess what? "The Onion" came through for me. Todd Bodine. I appreciate him making me look like I know what I'm talking about here.
As for the chicken wing recipe, here goes:
Get some Texas Pete Wing Sauce and dump about half a bottle over a couple of dozen whole chicken wings. Now dump a bunch of garlic power -- not GARLIC SALT -- garlic powder in there and let it sit in the fridge for a couple hours. Throw those wings on a hot grill and you got yourself some kind of good to eat. AAAEEEE!!! (That's Cajun callin' for "That's good!") Now to be fair, my buddy Ken gave me half the recipe (the wing sauce). I came up with the garlic powder part.
You got some solid pool picks for the NASCAR race and an easy BBQ recipe. What more do you want??? For Godsakes, I spent the whole day (OK, 4 hours) doing yard work. I'm one old, tired dude right now. I need a Bud Light and I need Duke to keep winning in the tournament (know what I mean??)
Remember. This is a work in progress. I'll be covering many topics as we go along. Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., stocks, NASCAR Nextel Cup, cookin', understanding females and a lively discussion on the difficulties of having one foot bigger than the other.
